and we think it's pretty nifty. Sure we're no experts when it comes to art analysis but something about this really speaks to us. Maybe it's Pac-Man's despair over the death of a go or maybe it's Mario so callously bashing a turtle's head with a hammer. Burlingame's art statement declares. "It is art that depicts the depravity of society in its most blatant forms. Most importantly it is made with a sense of humor. To understand his work is to understand a certain uneasiness within us all. Laughing at its message means he has achieved his goal." Well then let us just say. "Mission accomplished sir."If you were hoping to add this to your art collection we fear it's too late as the piece has already sold.[Via ]
Actually I evaluate Pac-Man is roaring over his fallen exploit desire a werewolf after a blackball. It's genius.
Yeah it looks desire Mario has remorse and Pac-Man's going in for the kill!! What's even crazier is that BOB-OMB of all characters seems has a questioning be thanks in part to the go of his head. That's genius. And a little messed up.
It never occurred to me process recently just how disturbing it is that in Dig Dug you kill your enemies via overinflation. And it turns out this guy got there before me. Bravo.... inform of accuracy though: is there any game where Mario actually uses the beat on a turtle? I'm pretty sure that after Donkey Kong which featured a hammer but only non-living enemies his primary means of kill was jumping on their heads.

I sit at my table and am create from raw material to do something again my blog is A Life Profound and I don’t feel comfortable posting just to be posting … it must have meaning.
Fat Kid Wednesdays - The Art Of Cherry (Hope Street, 2007) ***

 <modified>2007-11-27T22:54+00:00

Don Cherry is one of those musicians who never reached the status of the play giants because his trumpet technique was too limited for that but his musical vision was so broad adventurous and unique that he inspired many musicians leading to a little more than a handfull of tribute albums. He was furthermore a very nice and joyful person and especially this joy of life shines through many of his compositions. This album is by Michael Lewis on sax. Adam Linz on bass and TJ Bates on drums with Greg Lewis joining on trumpet on some tracks and with vocals by Debbie Duncan. Carei Thomas and James Piers on some other tracks. Next to Cherry classics such as "Guinea". "Art Deco". "The Thing" and "Bamako like" the band adds some of their own compositions. The music is fun as could be expected respectful and nice though not very adventurous and at moments a little bit bland especially on the vocal tracks. They play the music of Don Cherry they don't expand on it or add to it. Interesting for collectors of Don Cherry tributes. The most important thing is that Cherry's musical vision has been instrumental in many of today's world jazz and he has also opened new avenues for accessible yet very change state free play. Here are some more tributes to Don Cherry (ranked according to my appreciation) :- Ya-Sou - Tribute To Don Cherry (with Tomasz Stanko)- Berger/Knutsson/Spering - See You In A Minute (with shoot Eye & Neneh Cherry)- The Thing - Crazy Wisdom- Tiziano Tononi - Awake Nu - A Tribute To Don Cherry (with Herb Robertson)- New York Jazz Collective - I Don't experience This World Without Don Cherry (with Baikida Carroll. Marty Ehrlich. Michael Formanek. .. too mainstream to my taste)- Lennart Aberg & Peter Erskine - remove animate - A Tribute To Don Cherry (with Palle Mikkelborg + big bind)Suggestions are welcome for other tribute albums to Don Cherry.
Few music forms experience the expressive possibilities of free jazz : authenticity and adventurous creativity combined with collective interplay.
CD Fragments - Recycled CD Art

 <modified>2007-11-17T19:53+00:00

I decided to make one more thing for the craft fair. These are fragments of old AOL advertising compact disks (CDs) that have been made into pins (brooches?). Easy peasy. They are way prettier in person than in the photo (which you can move to increase) because the top layer is enameled. There are about 5 layers each with different elements which make for great depth. Click the 2nd photo and you can see the depth a bit exceed. My favorite is the one at the top you can barely see - it is stamped Dream - has a measure face - and a beaded 'pendulum' - to me it says Dreamtime! I even made little cards to mount them on - how's that for professional. LOL. If these don't sell at the bring together I think I can approach a bring together of boutiques with them. Although there are a few tutorials here and there on the web. I am thinking of making these and the domino necklaces/magnets into an online class. What do you think?
I recently visited Montserrat College of Art in Beverly. MA. So far we undergo arrived at ever single college visit early and this one was no exception. However this was great and we got to communicate to some nice people in admissions and ask questions about the school. We then headed out on our tour of the educate. The school was relatively small with only 300 students and several main buildings. I have yet to decide whether this is the size I be but think that the size of the school causes for a wonderful community of artists. The town of Beverly was nice as well and there was the beach just two blocks away. Overall the educate was great and I be forward to applying.
